Hello friends. As far as the fine art goes, sold another painting today, which was the last of the group I set aside for sale in early 07. I hate to see paintings go, but I love to sell them and see a smile on someone's face over something I made. A new series is in the works, which will be in the For Sale section when the paint dries.

I'll be live painting at Art After Dark this weekend. Other than this, I've been moving on to a few illustration jobs.

Tomorrow night, Thursday the 29, there will be a catered Art Party at the Hideout from 7-10, which will wrap up The Austin Sketch Group show. A lot of work was sold during SXSW by the entire group, and I only have a few pieces left. Maybe I'll get an extra piece or two up for the final festivities. Anyway, come hang out.

Next Month I will be doing live painting at ART AFTER DARK, April 14 and 15.

Its South by Southwest time here in Austin. While listening to some loud kids from Japan rock out, I did a little sketch colored with blue crayon and coffee.

It was pretty wild-Try as they might, Godzilla and Giant Robots couldn't stop their musical virtuosity!

So far I've sold two paintings, and hit Gallery Lombardi to check out drawings from heroes like Derek Hess, HR Giger, and countless others.

As February ends...This is the last weekend I'll have work up at the Hideout Theater. The response was solid, and lended increased credibility to notion that my art can be exchanged for little green pieces of paper. Anyway, get in there before you miss out. If you have a whirlwind weekend of social obligations, fear not- I'll have a few new pieces up for the Austin Sketch Group show. More to come on that a little later.

Look for big uploads in all sections, and a sexier design in this coming month.

 

2-22-07 continued

Outgrown that lame Ansel Adams print you bought at Target? Class up the joint with some original art work by yours truly. Priced reasonably to fit your rock and roll lifestyle. I'll have work up at the Hideout Theater (617 Congress Ave, here in Austin) until March, and a new set of work up until April.

Also, tonite I'll be at the SXSW Screenburn mixer @ Joe's Coffee [Map] 242 W 2nd St. Come have a Lone Star and mix it up.
